Rochester Poppins is a local, family-owned agency serving the greater Rochester area. We are run by our owner and operator, Karine Kvam, and her small team of local helpers and professionals.

Karine is a Minnesota girl, born and raised around the Rochester area. Making connections, sparking up conversations, and getting to know people is Karine’s natural way. Communicative and approachable, Karine’s natural skillset lends itself well to listening to people and understanding their goals. With an educational background in Psychology and Special Education, Karine has served as a Mental Health Child Counselor, Preschool Teacher, Autism Specialist, and has worked one-on-one with children of many diverse backgrounds, and levels of ability. Karine has over ten years of experience as a Household Manager, Traveling Nanny, Live-In Nanny, and Live-Out Nanny. She has endless hours of professional training in interpersonal communications, child psychology, early childhood development, therapeutic methods, behavior observation, neuroscience, spirituality, meditation, mindfulness, and youth & family systems. She has hired and maintained household staff and has observed first-hand the nuances that can arise when searching for a good match. Karine saw the need for a robust Nanny industry in her own backyard and built Rochester Poppins to meet this need. Using developmental psychology to guide our parenting choices, we can raise kiddos who are well equipped for adulthood with a solid foundation of emotional and mental health. We empower our caregivers and families to teach kids how to navigate the world around them in a peaceful and cooperative way.
